Two top experts join Bigbank's management board

On 15 March, changes in the composition of the management board of Bigbank come into effect. Sven Raba, who was responsible for the areas of technology and legal matters in the bank, is resigning from the Board due to the expiry of a fixed-term contract, and the Board will gain two new members: Ingo Põder, the former Head of Corporate Banking, and Ken Kanarik, the Head of Product Management.

Martin Länts, Chairman of the Management Board of Bigbank, thanked Sven Raba for his long-term contribution to the development of the bank. "Sven has been a pioneer in the development of the banking system Nest, which has provided a technological advantage for Bigbank, and he has helped to implement it in the nine countries where we currently operate," he noted.

The new members joining the Management Board have more than ten years of experience in the bank. "Both new members bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the board, round out the management and take on additional responsibilities – legal for Ingo and technology for Ken," Martin Länts commented.

According to Länts, Ingo Põder, who has been in charge of corporate banking for the past three years, has managed to increase business volumes several times and establish Bigbank as a competitive corporate solutions provider for Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian entrepreneurs. Ken Kanarik, who has been in charge of product development at Bigbank since 2019, has been closely involved in the development and implementation of the banking software Nest in new markets and has managed the launch of several new products, including home loans throughout the Baltics.

Chairman Martin Länts, Mart Veskimägi and Argo Kiltsmann will continue on the Management Board of Bigbank. Bigbank is an Estonian commercial bank with an international reach, which specialises in loans and whose balance sheet total exceeded one billion euros in 2021.
